I apologize

To all my fans for the lack of Lacey Thorn books out this year. My last book was out in December and the next one won't debut until this November. It was a rough year, lol. Not an excuse, just a personal observation. My muse has been screaming to get my attention and I have more often than not ignored her. For whatever reason I did this I am back now and working to get back into the game.
Tempting Tess which is the third in my Lottery Brides series will be out in November and I am six chapters from completing Mage Magic, book four of the Blood Magic series. I know that I have several other series out there so if there is a story you are eager for, let me know! I'll move it to the top of my "works in progress" list!
I started writing for myself and somehow managed to obtain fans. I'm still awed by that and hope that I haven't let them down too badly.
I will be at Romanticon in Ohio this year! I am looking forward to a weekend of fun and mingling with readers and authors! Oh, and there are the models.... But I swear that is just a perk!
Either way...I'M BACK! And I want to say that I've missed you guys a lot!

Surprising Article

So I came across this article that was very interesting. Hopefully you'll find it the same.
Here's a glimpse of what it holds:

We asked, they spilled. Real guys dish about what they find sexiest in their mates. We bet some of their turn-ons surprise you!

1) When You Bare It All

Did you know that the average American woman spends almost $200 a year on her makeup? That's a shocking $13,000 spent over her lifetime. And the kicker: Our guys actually prefer our skin sans accompaniment.
"I love how she looks when she first wakes up, " says Keith, 36, of his fiancée, April. "Fresh, clean, natural. I hate when she piles on that cakey eye stuff. She still looks good, but she just doesn't look as much like herself."
Chris, 23, concurs. "I was actually drawn to [my girlfriend] Stephanie because she didn't wear makeup. She didn't really look like she was trying to be noticed. That was cool, you know?"

"She's never as gorgeous as she is just out of the shower," says Daniel, 30, of his wife, Gina. "When she’s all natural, scrubbed clean, and walking around in a towel — man, I love that. I actually proposed to her in that towel!"

"I absolutely hate lip gloss," says Taylor, 21. "My girlfriend's always trying to kiss me with it on, and it's so sticky! Seriously, why do you ladies like that stuff?"

"Lip gloss is the worst," says Taylor’s friend Rand, 22. "I can never get it off my face! It completely takes the romance out of kissing because I keep thinking about how annoying it is."

Amazing end of Year and First weekend!

So the school year is finally over for my kids. We had to go until June 9th due to all the snow days. They head back on August 16 and I head back on August 22. Until then it is hopefully, fun, fun, fun!  Their first week is with their dad and I am already missing them like mad! The house is so empty without them. I miss the noise and the chaos they bring. I miss them. But that is the way of it when there is a divorce in the mix.
So to divert myself I spent my first weekend of summer at a writers' get together in Michigan with my closest gal pals!
Carol Lynne, Brynn Paulin, Dakota Rebel, Mia Watts, Bronwyn Green, and myself, Lacey Thorn all together for a weekend of laughs, fun and camaraderie. I had such a wonderful time. It was the first time we'd all been together in so long. We've been a group since 2007 and try to get together at least once a year if possible. And I always look forward to our time together.  They are such amazing women, extremely talented authors, and incredibly supportive of me.
So to my fellow "tarts": I love you and had an amazing time! Can't wait to see you all again!

Until next time...Happy Reading!

Suprising Find

Bored, I downloaded a free read from Kindle because the title made me laugh. Diary of a Mad Fat Girl by Stephanie McAfee.  I'm glad that I did. Now, I could go into the typos ( unfortunately quite a few) as those usually drive me insane.  I hate it when I am reading and the words are in the wrong order, too many words are there, or words are missing. But I told myself to let it go, lol.
And I can tell you that I loved this story. I was laughing out loud from the beginning. Ace had me cracking up. Lilly and Chloe came into their own. For a bit I felt it was a like a Charlie's Angels storyline only Charlie was a resourceful woman.
Sadly I cant find a website or any other works from Ms. McAfee.  But I'll be looking forward to them in the future. She mad me laugh out loud with Diary of a Mad Fat Girl. I'll bet she can make you laugh too!

Here is the link at Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/Diary-Mad-Fat-Girl-ebook/dp/B004H8GVHC/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1305854974&sr=1-1

It is listed at - $.99 there. More than worth it!

Until next time, happy reading!

Quiet Weekend /Reading Navarro's Promise

My phone lost service on Friday.Today it is Sunday and still no service on my phone. I am not a happy camper. I am so not a happy camper. I am one of those people who only have a cell phone so this is really annoying to me. I can't talk to anyone unless I leave town, when suddenly I hit a different tower and have service. Let me say again...I'M SO NOT HAPPY!!!!!!!!
So I've been reading instead.  I just finished Lora Leigh's Navarro's Promise. This is the latest breed book and I love this series. I really enjoyed the book (even though I am dying to read Cassie's story!). But I do have a problem with this book.  The last ten pages of the book. I swear that the publisher mistakenly left some pages missing from the end of the book. I had to re-read several times just to make sure that I hadn't missed something. I hadn't. I want those missing few pages. I refuse to blame Lora Leigh as I truly think she is a goddess when it comes to the breed books. So where are my missing pages????  And can I get them back?????

Until next time...Happy Reading
